Three Turkish law enforcers wounded in attack on checkpoint on border with Syria

At least one Turkish soldier and two Turkish policemen were wounded in an attack on a checkpoint on the border between Turkey and Syria, the Turkiye newspaper said on Sunday.

According to the newspaper, the checkpoint in the city of Kilis came under a rocket attack.

According to the Anadolu news agency, Kurdish units of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party and People's Defense Units, which are both recognized as terrorist organizations in Turkey, were behind the attack. On Sunday night, Turkey staged another air raid against them.

The new Turkey’s operation, dubbed Claw-Sword, was conducted in Syria and Iraq and involved artillery units, more than 50 warplanes and 20 drones. Strikes were delivered at the places of deployment of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party and People's Defense Units.
