Three Turkish soldiers killed in attacks in Syria’s Afrin, Turkey’s Kilis

Three Turkish soldiers were killed on Feb. 2 in the People’s Protection Units (YPG) attacks in Syria’s Afrin and southern province of Kilis, Hurriyet Daily News reports with a reference to Turkish General Staff statement. 

One Turkish soldier was killed in clash with YPG militants in Syria’s Afrin as part of the ‘Operation Olive Branch’ which was started on Jan. 20 to remove YPG and ISIL militants from the region.

Meanwhile, one Turkish tank was targeted by YPG militants as one Turkish soldier was killed in the attack.   The other Turkish soldier was killed in missile attack at border post in the southern province of Hatay’s Kilis.
