Three weather records in Moscow

According to Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, several weather records have been set in Moscow.

"Several records were set today: daily precipitation on August 15th (the previous record of 25.2 mm was set in 1887); daily precipitation for August (the previous record of 59 mm was set in 2003) and precipitation for summer (the previous record of 63 mm was set in 1970), Tass cites forecasters as saying.

According to a representative at the Hydrometeorological Center of the Russian Federation, such rains have never hit the capital throughout its history. Bad weather was caused by an active southern cyclone.

Exact record figures will be announced after 9:00 PM MSK, and the final results of the cyclone will become known tomorrow.
