According to the results of the first-day competitions of the FIG Acrobatic Gymnastics World Cup in Baku, Russian gymnasts Timofei Ivanov and Maxim Karavaev became the owners of the traditional AGF Trophy prize, awarded to the athletes who received the highest scores in the qualifying competitions. Their result in a balance routine was 28.268 points, in a dynamic routine - 29.432 points. They became leaders with a total of 57.7 points on the sum of two disciplines.

In a conversation with the correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza, Maxim Karavaev admitted that the first half of the tournament was a success for Russians. "Everything was done very well and neatly. We are very grateful to the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation for marking us as the best gymnasts of this day," he said.
