Georgian Defense Minister Tina Khidasheli, who is on an official visit to the US, met with Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland, and Undersecretary of State for Political-Military Affairs Puneet Talwar.
The interlocutors discussed the future of military-political relations between the two countries, as well as priorities for a substantial Georgia-NATO package and the reforms that should be continued in the Georgian Defense Ministry.
"Our partners have to hope that in the face of Georgia not only do they have a reliable political partner, provided with the support of the population, but Georgia should become a country that will take on responsibility in many directions," Sputnik Georgia quotes Khidasheli as saying.
