Due to the work of the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation, Azerbaijani gymnasts have everything necessary to live and train comfortably, Azeri junior Tofig Aliyev said, speaking with Vestnik Kavkaza after performing in the double mini-trampoline qualification on the sidelines of the European Championships in Trampoline, Tumbling and Double Mini-Trampoline.
"I am very happy and pleased with the conditions created by the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation. We have everything we need, and all we have to worry about is sports - we need only go into the arena and perform well. So we do our best," he said.
Tofig Aliyev said that this is his first international trampoline competition - before he participated in major tumbling tournaments. "I performed at the world tumbling championship in the age category of 13-14, and today I perform in the category of 13-17, and it was a little exciting for me to perform with adults, but I am pleased with my performance in the double mini-trampoline event, the coach is also pleased," the Azerbaijani junior said.
"It is gratifying that this European Championship is held at home, it really helps me to perform, especially since the audience gives us special support when we go into the arena. Of course, the strongest are Russians and Britons today, but we will try to show the best result," the gymnast concluded.
