Tokayev invites Putin to Kazakhstan

Vladimir Putin met with Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The negotiations took place on the sidelines of the SCO summit in Astana. The leaders discussed bilateral relations.

Russian leader Vladimir Putin held talks with his Kazakh counterpart Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the sidelines of the SCO summit in Astana, the Kremlin press service informs.

During the meeting, Tokayev expressed gratitude to Putin for participating in the summit. He noted Russia's contribution to the potential of the SCO, adding that the organization has gained authority on the global stage and has become one of the most successful international organizations.

Speaking about relations between Astana and Moscow, the head of the Republic of Kazakhstan emphasized that after Putin’s visit in November, cooperation between the two countries is developing actively.
