President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held the meeting with Head of the State Academic Kazakh Musical and Drama Theater Talgat Temenov to discuss development of theater arts in the country, Akorda press service reports.
At the meeting, Temenov told about the process of construction of a new building of the State Academic Kazakh Musical and Drama Theater and offered to announce a Year of Culture in Kazakhstan. He has listed a number of ideas on improvement of welfare of young actors and provision of shelter, AKIpress reported.
Tokayev, in turn, promised that the government will continue providing support in culture, theater and cinema.
