Russian Minister of Labor and Social Protection, Maxim Topilin, noted that the labor market data testifies to the ongoing economic recovery.

"Labor market data demonstrates a positive trend," he said.

According to the Minister of Labor and Social Protection, over the past year the number of persons officially registered as unemployed declined by almost 145 thousand people - to 796 thousand. Over the past year, the number of part-time employees also decreased by 133,8 thousand (261.6 thousand people last year against 127, 8 thousand people this year), he pointed out.

"Today, the number of vacancies is almost 1.7 million," Topilin said, adding that last year it was 1.4 million.
