Tourist flow growing in Georgia

Georgia hosted 3,021,067 international travellers in the first and second quarters of the year, marking a 5.6% increase over the same period of the previous year, the Georgian National Tourism Administration said.

The number of foreign tourist visits amounted to 2,123,816 between January and June, marking a 10% increase compared to 2023.

The largest number of visitors Georgia hosted in the first and second quarters of 2024 came from Turkey, followed by Russia and Armenia. Georgia hosted 623,900 visitors from Turkey, 527,500 visitors from Russia and 387,700 visitors from Armenia.

The body also said 1,720,516 international travellers had arrived by the second quarter of 2024, exceeding 2023 figures by 4.2%. 

The number of arrivals of international travellers in April-June amounted 1,185,172, marking a 9.2% increase compared to the figures of the same period of previous year.
