"We are taking additional measures to tighten the imposed restrictions. It will be completely forbidden to drive a car in the country from 12:00 am of April 17 to 21 April. Restrictions do not apply to transportation of cargo and distribution vehicles. Shops, pharmacies, food delivery services and all other permitted facilities will continue to operate as usual", - said Prime Minister's Spokesman Irakli Chikovani.
According to him, public health workers expect a significant increase in the number of cases in the next 2-3 weeks.
"As of today, we have a total of 348 confirmed cases and the stage of active internal distribution has started in the country. Public health officials expect a significant increase in the cases of infection in the next 2-3 weeks. The government has taken timely measures to reduce the spread of Covid19,” Chikovani said.
