The movement of road transport along the Transcaucasian Highway has been stopped due to heavy snow and the threat of avalanches, a message posted on the EMERCOM website of North Ossetia announced.
"Due to heavy snowfall and the threat of avalanches the Transcaucasian Highway was closed in accordance with recommendations by the North Caucasian uniformed services on active influence on hydrometeorological processes," Gazeta.ru cites the message.
