Transport corridor from India to Baku and Astrakhan may open in 2016

India's ambassador to Russia, Pundi Shrinivasan Raghavan, said that his country is interested in the transport project "North-South", which will start operating in early 2016.

"We really are actively working on the launch of this project, because it will reduce costs by half," the ambassador said.

He added that "there are still a lot of details to coordinate, but we are moving very quickly, we want it to be launched in early 2016," RIA Novosti reports.
