In connection with the upcoming parliamentary elections on March 20th, the traffic police are to carry out a preventive operation titled 'Law and Order' from the 16th to the 18th of March, the deputy head of the Department of Internal Affairs (DIA) for transport Talgat Utetleuov said.
"The purpose of the action is to improve the operational environment, the prevention and suppression of offenses at objects of the country's rail and air transport, as well to ensure the proper rule of law on the threshold of the elections of Majilis deputies, the Parliament, maslikhats and the celebration of Nauryz meyrazmi (the vernal equinox day on March 22nd),'' RIA Novosti reports.
