Tree top walk to be built in Georgia’s Lagodekhi National Park

A tree top walk will offer a unique nature experience in Georgia’s Lagodekhi Protected Area, according to Georgia’s Agency of Protected Areas.

The wooden construction of the tree top walk will be integrated into the forest. It will lead visitors up to the crowns of the trees and will enable them to discover a unique forest of Lagodekhi National Park from a different point of view.

The tree top walk design is already completed and the length of the circular path will be 500 meters. The tree top walk includes towers, air trial, bridges, educational and interactive portals.

It has been announced that the tree top walk should serve about 60,000 – 100,000 visitors per year, Agenda.ge reported.

The project is financed by Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, a German government-owned development bank the World Wildlife Fund and Transboundary Joint Secretariat in South Caucasus.
