The magnitude of the earthquake was 4 points, with the hypocenter located at a depth of 44 km. The earthquake was registered at 08:22 local time.
Earlier, a 3.1-magnitude earthquake occurred in the Caspian Sea. It was recorded at a point located almost 230 km east of the Altyagach station.
