Trump calls on Europe, rather than the United States, to solve problems around Crimea

Problems around Crimea should be solved, in the first place, by the European countries, not Washington, US presidential candidate Republican Donald Trump believes.

"This is the problem of Europe to a much greater degree than ours. And Europe has no complains," Trump stated in an interview to CNN when asked about his attitude to the situation around Crimea, RIA Novosti reports.

He recalled that European countries have a much closer economic ties with Russia, and therefore should be more involved in the solution of such problems.

"Why is Germany not heading this process? Germany is a very rich and powerful country. Why is it doing nothing?" Trump asked, noting that the United States often acts as "the policeman of Europe."
