U.S. President Donald Trump has said the high number of Covid-19 cases in the United States is due to the country's testing being better than anywhere else in the world.
"The only reason the U.S. has reported one million cases of CoronaVirus is that our Testing is sooo much better than any other country in the World. Other countries are way behind us in Testing, and therefore show far fewer cases!" Trump wrote on Twitter.
The U.S. has reported more than 1 million confirmed cases and 59,266 deaths yesterday, accounting for almost a third of the world's death toll.
Trump Monday released the White House’s plan to expand testing across the U.S. The U.S. has tested 5.7 million people for the virus in total, CNBC reported.
