Top Russia official on U.S. President Donald Trump's National Security Council Tim Morrison, who is scheduled to testify in the impeachment inquiry today, is set to leave his White House post imminently, National Public Radio reported citing three sources familiar with the plan.
Morrison, who has served as the senior director for European and Russian affairs on the National Security Council, will be replaced by deputy assistant secretary of state for Iraq and Iran in the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs Andrew Pee, according to the sources.
It is not yet clear whether Morrison’s imminent departure from the White House is a resignation or a sacking.
