Türkiye beats Armenia on football field

Today, Türkiye  and Armenia met on the football field. The third game in history ended with the victory of the Turkish team.

On March 25, Yerevan hosted a historic football match: Armenia vs. Türkiye.  The teams clashed in 2024 qualifier. Turkiye left the field as a winner, Armenian players failed to score a single goal.

The first goal of the match against Türkiye was scored by Ozan Kabak in the 10th minute, so the game started with an own goal. Subsequently, the players of the Turkish national team scored two more goals: Orkun Kekcu scored an equalizer in the 34th minute, and Kerem Akturkoglu scored in the 63rd minute.

The Armenian team failed to score a single goal and collected five warnings during the match.

Previously, the teams of the two countries met on the field in 2008 as part of the qualifying round of the 2010 World Cup. The game took place in Yerevan, then in 2009 the return match was played in Bursa.

Today's meeting was held at the Republican Stadium in the Armenian capital.

The European Football Championship will take place next summer in Germany, on June 14 - July 14.
