Türkiye has not requested Russia's consent to transfer its S‑400 air defence systems abroad, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a press conference following the 81st UN General Assembly High‑Level Week.
"We have not received such an appeal",
Lavrov said.
Sergey Lavrov noted that Ankara is aware that under the S‑400 supply contract the systems must remain on Turkish territory, and moving them to another country would require Russia's official consent.
