On Friday, September 12, Türkiye’s Special Representative for Normalization of Relations Serdar Kılıç began his visit to Armenia. He was welcomed at the Margara checkpoint by his Armenian counterpart, Vice Speaker of the National Assembly Ruben Rubinyan.

Kılıç has scheduled multiple meetings to address various topics, including the prospect of opening the shared border.

Previously, Kılıç noted that Armenia views border reopening positively but emphasized the need for technical preparations. He plans to discuss these details with Rubinyan.

Last week, CNN Turk reported ahead of Kilic's visit that the Turkish envoy would discuss several important normalization decisions in the South Caucasus republic.
