Türkiye to build 46,000 residential buildings in earthquake-affected regions

In the regions of Türkiye affected by the deadliest in decades earthquake, the building is starting. Over 46,000 houses will be built in a year. The first houses will be constructed for residents of Kahramanmaras.

Türkiye begins a large-scale mass construction to provide housing for those whose houses were destroyed as a result of the earthquake.

The natural disaster wiped out entire cities in 11 Turkish provinces, killing more than 50,000 people. The tragedy occurred in early February. The first stage of construction in the affected south-east Türkiye will begin in the nearest time.

As part of the first phase of construction, 17,902 houses will be built, of which over 7,000 in the province of Kahramanmaras that was hit the hardest by the earthquake. The country's leader, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, will take part in the groundbreaking ceremony for the first houses. In just a year, 46,300 residential buildings will be created in Türkiye.
