According to Russian prime-minister Dmitry Medvedev who is currently in Serbia on a state visit, the TurkStream gas pipeline would be completed by 2020.
“We hope that the construction will be completed by the beginning of 2020,” RIA Novosti quotes the prime-minster as saying.
The TurkStream project involves the construction of a gas pipeline consisting of two lines with a capacity of 15.75 billion cubic meters each. The first line will supply Russian gas to Turkish consumers, the second - to the countries of Southern and Southeast Europe. It is planned to finalise both lines by the end of this year.
