Turkey announces visa regime with Syria

Turkey is to introduce a visa regime with Syria. Starting from January 8th of the next year Syrian citizens will need to receive a visa to cross Turkey's borders by sea, or by air. It was announced by a representative of Turkish Foreign Minister Tanju Bilgidzh.

He explained that the decision should help in the fight against illegal migration. At the same time, Ankara will continue to implement the policy of "open doors" for Syrians who migrate to the country across the land border, Trend reports.
