The Turkish side has proposed the United States to sell Patriot missile defense systems to Ankara and expects a response from Washington, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said at the Doha Forum in Qatar.
He stressed that Turkey still believes in an alliance with the United States. “We remain allies ... No one can cancel the S-400 deal with Russia, that's done. Russia's offer was more profitable, and we accepted it. Now we are ready to buy the Patriot system from the USA, we are waiting for their response,” Cavusoglu said.
