More than 4.5 million Russian tourists visited Turkey from January to November 2021, Executive Director of the Russian Association of Tour Operators Maya Lomidze said.
"According to the results of 11 months of 2021, the Russian tourist flow to Turkey remains the biggest. In January-November, 4,555,047 tourist visits of Russian citizens were registered in Turkey (share in the total tourist flow - 20%)," TASS cited her as saying.
According to the director of ATOR, 3.54 million Russians spent their holidays in Antalya. Next are Istanbul, which received 724,300 tourists from Russia, and the Aegean coast resorts (278,000 people).
Lomidze added that Germany, Ukraine, Bulgaria and Iran were also among the five leading countries in the Turkish tourism market.
