Turkey extends state of emergency for another three months

Turkish government spokesman Bekir Bozdağ on Monday stated that Turkey’s cabinet approved the recommendation of the National Security Council which held a meeting earlier the same day, chaired by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, to extend a state of emergency after last year's failed coup for another three months, Yeni Şafak reports.

Fifteen months have passed since the state of emergency was declared on July 20, 2016 following the failed coup attempt.
