According to the Institute of Statistics of Turkey, the export of Turkish tomatoes is growing steadily, despite the Russian sanctions. The tomato sales abroad amounted to $ 123 million in the first three months of 2017, which means an increase of 54% compared to the same period in 2016.
While Russia refuses to buy Turkish tomatoes, Belarus remains the leader in the purchases: the country bought tomatoes for $ 32.4 million in the first quarter of 2017. Romania ($ 18 million) and Poland ($ 11.8 million) are also in the list of the top three buyers.
