Turkey has issued an arrest warrant for ex-footballer Hakan Sukur in connection with last month’s failed coup.
Sukur is accused by of “being a member of an armed terror group”, according to the country’s state-run Anadolu news agency.
Mr Sukur, who played for Blackburn Rovers during the 2002-2003 season as well as for European giants Inter Milan and Galatasaray, became a politician in Turkey after retiring from the sport.
