Turkey offered any assistance to Kazakhstan

Turkey is ready to provide all kinds of assistance and support to Kazakhstan, the Minister of National Defense of the country Hulusi Akar said yesterday.

"We have good relations with friendly Kazakhstan, historical, cultural ties, military and educational cooperation. We closely follow the latest events. We believe that Kazakhstan, our brothers will overcome all difficulties with their own means and abilities. As always, we are with Kazakhstan today. We declare that we are ready to provide all kinds of assistance and support to our Kazakh brothers", RIA Novosti quotes Akar with reference to the Turkish news agency Anadolu.

Let us remind that mass protests in Kazakhstan began in the first days of 2022 - residents of the cities of Zhanaozen and Aktau in the west of the country opposed a twofold increase in prices for liquefied gas. Later, the protests spread to other cities, including Almaty. In response, the authorities declared a state of emergency across the country until January 19 and launched a counter-terrorism operation. During the protests in Kazakhstan, about 1,000 people were injured. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the republic, 18 security officials were killed.
