Turkey will increase defense spending this year, the republic's Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said, speaking in Washington.
According to him, Ankara's goal is to bring the level of defense spending to 2 percent target.
"In 2017, we will increase our defense budget to the level of previous years," RIA Novosti cited the diplomat as saying.
