Turkish Energy Minister Fatih Donmez said that Ankara is not going to be a party to sanctions against Russia.
"Our president said the same. We do not want to be a party to sanctions against Russia. We have good trade relations. We are standing for resolving the issue through diplomacy," CNN Turk quotes Donmez as saying.
He also noted that Turkey expects that the sanctions will not affect Russian gas supplies to the country.
"We expect that this will not affect us. There was no such discussion. We also have frequent dialogues. Turkey has no problems with natural gas supplies," the minister stressed.
