Ankara has sent an appeal to UNESCO to include the Fortress of Van on the list of the World Heritage organization.
According to Muzaffer Aktug, chief of the department of culture and tourism of Van, if UNESCO recognizes the necessity of such a step, it will give Van serious recognition and bring a lot of benefit, Radical News.am reports.
