The second main suspected plotter of July 15 failed coup attempt, who collaborated with coup mastermind Adil Öksüz has been identified as Kemal Batmaz.
The two men reportedly went to the US on July 11 and returned on July 13, two days before the coup attempt.
Batmaz was the previous CEO of FETÖ-linked Kaynak Paper Company and is assumed to be one of the 'civilian masterminds' behind the failed coup attempt, the Daily Sabah reports.
Batmaz is currently held in custody, under the scope of a probe by Ankara Public Prosecutor's Office, which issued detention warrants for a total of 12 suspects who allegedly participated in the coup attempt.
