Turkey to create its own missile defense system

Ankara has canceled a tender for the production of components for the Turkish defense system amounting to $3.4 billion in order to implement its domestic missile defense project, the representative office of the Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said.

"It was decided to cancel the tender. This decision was signed by the Prime Minister this week," RIA Novosti cites him as saying.
