Turkey will start emergency demolition work in the near future, Turkish media reported.
Within three months, the Turkish Ministry of Environment and Urban Planning will inspect 81 provinces to identify emergency buildings.
Buildings in Istanbul came under scrutiny after 21 people were killed in a collapse in Kartal district of Istanbul on February 6. The collapsed building was found to have illegal additional floors, which is considered to be one of the reasons for its sudden collapse.
