Turkish AKP refuses to hold rallies in Germany before referendum

The Turkish ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) refuses to hold political rallies in Germany during the campaign to prepare a referendum on amendments to the Turkish Constitution, the newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung reported.

Earlier Ankara's dissatisfaction caused Germany's decision to cancel two events with the participation of Turkish ministers.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan accused German Chancellor Angela Merkel that she was using 'Nazi methods'. She called such statements unacceptable.
