Turkish Airlines airliner lands in Halifax due to threat of explosion

An Airbus A330 airliner of Turkish Airlines, on which 256 people were flying from New York to Ankara, made an emergency landing in the Canadian city of Halifax after information wad received that there may be an explosive device on board.

All passengers and crew members were evacuated to a safe place.

The Canadian police reported that currently the aircraft is being inspected for a bomb on board, RIA Novosti reported.
