Turkey disposes of information on the links of the Russian Ambassador's killer to the organization of preacher Fethullah Gülen, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said.
''The information and documents at our disposal indicate that the killer had links to the terrorists of Fethullah Gülen,'' Anadolu cited Çavuşoğlu as saying.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said earlier that he had no doubt the assassin of Russia’s ambassador had belonged to the outlawed Turkish organization of Fethullah Gulen.
Russian Ambassador Andrey Karlov was shot at the opening of an art gallery exhibition opening by Turkish off-duty police officer Mevlut Mert Altintas on December 19. The Russian Foreign Ministry has described the incident as an act of international terror.
