The Turkish Foreign Ministry will pay five thousand liras for the loss of the awards of the well-known Turkish historian Ilber Ortayli, the Court of Ankara decided today.
According to Hurriyet, Ortayli gave the Ministry his awards, received in Russia, Italy and Austria, for state registration, but the Ministry lost those awards. After that, the historian appealed to the court to get compensation for moral damage.
