Turkish General Staff: 1.5% of military involved in failed coup

A total of 8651 military personnel took part in the coup attempt on July 15,  the Turkish General Staff said.
 
"This figure amounts to 1.5% of the current number of Turkish Armed Forces personnel," the General Staff’s Press and Public Relations Department said in a statement.
 
35 planes, 37 helicopters, 74 tanks, and three ships were used during the failed coup, APA reports.
