The Turkish General Staff has denied information about the deaths of civilians during the Turkish military operations in the northern part of Iraq.
"Some mass media spread information that a village was bombed during the operation in the northern part of Iraq. That there were killed and wounded among civilians. According to intelligence reports, the objectives of the separatist terrorist organization (PKK) in the northern part of Iraq and Turkey were determined very carefully. We examined the information of the mass media, and then we came to the conclusion that a village and a camp of terrorists were bombarded, but there were no civilian settlements," RIA Novosti cites the Turkish General Staff’s message.
