Turkish citizens begin to leave Russia

Since the decision to suspend the visa-free regime, nearly 10 thousand Turkish citizens have left Russia, there are currently over 77 thousand Turkish citizens in the country, the Federal Migration Service (FMS) of Russia reported.

As of January 12th, according to the FMS public data, there are 69,309 male and 8066 female citizens of Turkey in Russia, which is about 89% of their number in November. Thus, the number of Turkish citizens in Russia has decreased by 9400 people, RIA Novosti reports.

There are a little over 3000 minors among the Turkish citizens located in Russia.
