Azerbaijan Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov met with a delegation led by the Commander of the Turkish Land Forces Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu on May 21.
The sides discussed the development of military cooperation between the two countries. The meeting also discussed the development prospects of cooperation in the military, the military-technical field, and regional security issues.
"The Minister noted that relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye are based on friendly and fraternal relations. He spoke about the positive results of the reforms held in the Azerbaijani Army under the leadership of Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev," the ministry said.
The Turkish delegation also met with the First Deputy Minister of Defense, Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army Karim Valiyev and Advisor to the Minister of Defense Bakhtiyar Ersay.
