The Turkish authorities are conducting a military operation against the Kurdistan Workers Party on the border with Iraq with support from the air. Local media report constant firefights.
It is reported that members of the PKK wanted to block the road between the Semdinli and Yukselova districts by digging ditches in it. However, the Turkish military quickly arrived on the scene, then clashes between extremists and the authorities began.
