At least 38 ISIS terrorists, including a so-called commander were killed in northern Syria in the last 24 hours as part of the ongoing Operation Euphrates Shield, according to a Turkish General Staff statement early Thursday.
A senior ISIS figure was among those killed by Turkish airstrikes and troops, the Daily Sabah newspaper reported.
Turkish forces also hit 74 ISIS targets, including defensive positions and command centers, according to the publication.
The Turkey-led Operation Euphrates Shield began on August 24 to improve security, support coalition forces and eliminate terror threats along the Turkish border using FSA fighters backed by Turkish artillery and jets.
