A citizen of Japan who intended to arrive in Syria and join the terrorist group Daesh has been detained in the Turkish province of Gaziantep.
He was travelling on the Nizip-Karkamış highway when his car was stopped for inspection. Electronic letters with militant contacts in his mobile phone helped law enforcement officers receive information about the foreigner’s plans.
According to RIA Novosti, he is to be deported to his homeland in the near future.
