There is approximately same number of supporters and opponents of changes to the constitution in Turkey. This is evidenced by polls conducted on the eve of a referendum on amendments to the country's main law.
In particular, according to high-ranking members of the ruling Justice and Development Party, 52% of Turkish citizens are ready to support the amendment of the constitution. In early March, the number of supporters reached 55-56%.
