President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has removed Akmyrat Mammedov from his post as the head of State Statistics Committee.
It is reported that at the last meeting of the government the President criticized the work of the statistical agency, stating that there are clerical errors and incorrect information was provided in state reports in which statistics are used.
Following the resignation of Mammedov, the State Statistics Committee will be headed by Lyudmila Amanniyazova, ca-news reports.
